Yellow lemonade

Fresh lemonade with lemon & lemongrass


  • The peel of 1 organic lemon
  • 250 ml water
  • 250 ml sugar
  • 1 stalk lemongrass
  • The juice of 3 lemons


Cut long strips from the lemon peel. Halve the lemongrass stalk lengthwise and knock the strips lightly with a knife handle.

Bring the water to the boil. Add the lemon peel and lemongrass and simmer for 3-4 minutes.

Add the sugar while stirring the liquid. Once the sugar has dissolved, remove the sugar water from the heat and leave to cool.

Squeeze the lemons and add the juice to the cooled sugar water. Sieve the lemonade and pour it into a completely clean bottle or container.

Dilute with water to taste, and serve cold with lots of ice cubes and a slice of lemon.
