Coffee & tea
How much coffee should I use when making coffee in a CafeSolo?
You need to use 25-35 g when making 0.6 litres, 45-60 g when making 1 litre and 65-75 g when making 1.4 litres, depending entirely on how strong you like your coffee.
How long does the neoprene cover keep the coffee hot for?
The neoprene cover keeps the coffee at serving temperature for up to 30 minutes. The tip-up lid also helps to retain the heat.
What temperature should the water be when making tea?
When brewing black tea it is important to use boiling water. However, for green tea and oolong tea, you should not use water which is hotter than approx. 80°C. The water should therefore be allowed to stand for about 5 min. after it has boiled.
Cleaning CafeSolo and tea-maker:
The glass flask, tea and coffee inserts as well as the tip-up lid are all dishwasher-safe.It is important that all parts are kept clean with no soap residues. If old coffee and tea residues are not washed off properly, they can lend an unpleasant flavour to the freshly brewed coffee or tea. Soap residues can also make your next pot of coffee or tea taste unpleasant and flat.
The glass insert for my vacuum flask/jug has exploded/broken – what should I do?
Tensions can occur in the glass (for example as a result of knocks and bangs) which may cause it to break. We do not a warranty on glass or porcelain, but it is possible to replace the glass insert, which can be purchased as a spare part.
