| Cleaning | Care and maintenanceKeeping the product in a good condition prolongs it’s lifespan. The natural character of wood means that variants in colour, texture and patterns do occur even though the wood is carefully selected. Wood exposed to changes in temperature and humidity might arch slightly and become rough, this is not a defect but a natural character of the material. Oak tends to get small surface cracks over time, this will not have any effect on the durability of the product but only emphasises the beauty of patinated natural materials.Keep the product in good shape at all time, by following the guide below• Remove stains immediately to avoid permanent damage of the surface.• Place the product in a humidity and temperature stable environment, avoiding direct sunlight.• Use coasters when placing hot or cold items on the surface.• Avoid placing heavy objects on the product.• Tighten screws after one month of usage.• Avoid using sharp or hard objects on the product, as they might scratch or damage the surface.• Avoid pushing or pulling the product, when moving it, as this might damage the floor andthe product.Oiled wood surfaceWipe with a moist clean cloth wrung in water or use wood cleaner. Remove any residue immediately using a clean dry cloth.Oil regularly to preserve the oak. If the wood feels rough with time, we recommend sanding down the dry surface using extra fine sandpaper (grit 320). Then oil the wood to protect it. Use products specifically suited for oiled wood, if the surface seems matt or scratched. Avoid using scouring cream or scouring pads on the surface, as they might scratch or damage the surface.Powder coated aluminium legsWipe with a moist clean cloth wrung in water or in a solution of mild soap and water. Description
The elongated Savoye table is a classic coffee table that goes well with most interior decors and living rooms. The table can either be used alone or in the company of other Savoye tables.
The table is made of a solid oak tabletop and a corresponding simple frame in black powder-coated aluminium.
Inspired by the renowned house Villa Savoye (designed by the Swiss architect Le Corbusier), the design studio ARDE has designed the Savoye coffee table.The many combination possibilities enable you to create your own personal arrangement.
The tabletop shape is reminiscent of a tray, but its rounded edge makes it easy to wipe off crumbs.
