DELIVERY BY CARRIER

Important information regarding services and accessibility.

Bulky products (e.g. furniture) are delivered by carrier. Find out which products are delivered by carrier on the product page and at checkout.

 

✓ The goods are delivered by carrier within 5-10 business days of the order having been placed.

✓ You will be contacted with more information on when we will deliver your order.

✓ It is important that someone is present at the delivery address when the goods are delivered; the carrier will telephone about 30 minutes before arrival.

✓ You are responsible for ensuring that the furniture can be brought into your home.

THREE DELIVERY OPTIONS

 

KERBSIDE DELIVERY OPTION
The goods are delivered to the kerbside, or where the delivery vehicle can easily park close to the delivery address. The driver unloads the furniture from the vehicle; you are then responsible for transporting the furniture into your home, without the driver’s assistance.

 

DELIVERY TO FIRST ROOM WITH ONE MAN
The goods are delivered by one man in the vehicle, who helps carry the goods into the first accessible room in your home. It is of no concern to Eva Solo and the carrier if the goods cannot be brought into your home ordinarily through a door without disassembly of any kind.

If you have delicate floors/carpets, it is a good idea to cover them as the driver’s footwear may be dirty (the driver is not allowed not remove his footwear, as per the applicable occupational health and safety rules). If damage is caused to the property, the driver MUST BE informed, and it must be noted on the consignment note before he leaves the property.

 

DELIVERY WITH TWO MEN
Delivery takes place with two men in the vehicle, who carry the goods exactly to where you want in your home, providing it is easily accessible. It is of no concern to Eva Solo and the carrier if the goods cannot be brought into your home ordinarily through a door without disassembly of any kind.

If you have delicate floors/carpets, it is a good idea to cover them as the driver’s footwear may be dirty (the driver is not allowed not remove his footwear, as per the applicable occupational health and safety rules). If any damage is caused to the property, the driver MUST BE informed, and it must be noted on the consignment note before leaving the property. When the driver is responsible for carrying pieces of furniture into the room in which they are going to be used, then you – as the customer – are not liable for any handling damage which has not been recorded on the consignment note when the furniture is unpacked immediately afterwards.

INFORMATION REGARDING ALL DELIVERY TYPES

ACCESS
It is important that you, as the recipient, are aware of the following:

 

✓ There must be access for large vehicles (min. 16.5 x 2.6 x 4 metres)
✓ The distance from the vehicle to the entrance of the property must not exceed 20 metres (if carrying into the property has been ordered)
✓ The carriageway/pavement/path must be firm and suitable for a lorry/pallet truck/sack truck
✓ Cover and protection of floors are present and sufficient (if carrying into the property has been ordered)
✓ Stairways and entrance areas must be cleared of building materials (if carrying into the property has been ordered)

 

If the above requirements are not met, additional delivery costs may be charged.

 

FURNITURE INSPECTION

It is important that you check the furniture upon receipt, and ensure that there is no damage to or impact marks on the packaging. If the packaging is damaged, thoroughly check the relevant part of the furniture for damage together with the driver.

Instruct the driver to make a note of any damage on your receipt, as well as on the driver’s consignment note. Eva Solo and the driver will then find a solution to the problem.

Acknowledging receipt also means accepting that the goods are in a proper condition, and it is not possible to subsequently submit a complaint regarding transport and handling damage. You are, of course, very welcome to remove the packaging and check the product beforehand if in doubt.

 

DELIVERY

The driver will telephone approx. 30 minutes before arrival at the agreed time on the agreed delivery date.

It is your responsibility to ensure that the furniture can be brought into your home.

 

DELIVERY TO ISLANDS WITHOUT BRIDGES

Unfortunately, Eva Solo is unable to deliver furniture to addresses on islands which are not connected to the mainland by a bridge (except Bornholm in Denmark). In such cases, delivery will be made to the nearest mainland harbour.
