Tips and usefull advice:
Before use:
Remove all stickers and wash the cookware using washing-up liquid to remove any dust or residues from the production process.
During use:
• Always use the hob which best matches the diameter of the cookware.
• Do not subject the cookware to excessive heat. The correct temperature can be established by placing a bit of fat in the cookware, and once it starts sizzling, the pot/pan is ready for use. It is recommended that you reduce the heat to medium when frying.
• When using the cookware on an electric induction cooker, which can become very hot, pots and pans must never be heated empty as it may damage the cookware.
• Never add salt until the water is boiling as it may cause the stainless steel to corrode.
• If the pot or pan has a Slip-Let® coating, it is important to use wood or plastic utensils as metal will scratch the coating.
• Avoid having food standing in the cookware for long periods of time as it may damage the coating.
After use:
• All pots and pans are dishwasher-safe.
• They can also be cleaned with washing-up liquid and a soft brush/scouring pad.
• Never use steel wool or abrasives.
Tip for extending the lifetime of the Slip-Let® coating:
• If the Slip-Let® coating darkens over time, it is due to a thin layer of burnt egg white from the food. This can easily be removed by filling the pan with water and adding 4-5 tablespoons of washing powder and allowing the solution to simmer for approx. 45 minutes. Stir occasionally with a washing-up brush. Repeat if necessary. Then clean the cookware using washing-up liquid, and wipe a thin layer of vegetable oil around the inside.
