EVA TRIO - A DESIGN CLASSIC

EVA TRIO - A DESIGN CLASSIC

Eva Trio is our most famous series of pots and pans. The name Trio comes from the three materials - aluminium, cast iron and copper – three materials which are each suitable for a specific type of cooking.

Eva Trio was developed with reference to how we use our kitchen. The key words was simple and easy, creativity and flexibility; lots of possibilities, but easy to use. The result was a collection of pots that could be stacked inside each other, thus taking up a minimum of space, three fixed diameter sizes, so the flat, stackable lids could be used on several products. Finally, the handles were made of stainless steel, which meant they could easily be put in the oven. Further more, the handles were placed high at the pot to ensure that they would remain cold as long as possible. This means that they will never be hotter than you will still able to grab the handles without oven gloves.

The radically innovative design - now a modern classic - won the Danish Design Council’s ID award in 1979.
